In May 2020, I created the Nigerian Biodiversity Project with the goal to map the occurrence, abundance, and distribution of biodiversity. Over the last two years, with the help of other citizen scientists, the project is making considerable progress. Over this period, over 9,900 observations and more than 2,100 species have been recorded. https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/nigeria-biodiversity-project
As a citizen scientist, I am part of the Nigerian Bird Atlas Project (NiBAP) with the aim to engage the public to collect bird abundance and distribution data to be published as a bird atlas for Nigeria https://nibap.ng/
I am a member of the Nigerian Coordination Group of Key Biodiversity Areas (NCG-KBAs). The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) is partnering with IUCN to identify, delineate, and protect Freshwater KBAs in Nigeria https://ncfnigeria.org
